We all heard about the great Gatsby movie and how it took over the fashion trends specially jewelry domains .Women’s fashion in The Great Gatsby is personified by its main lead Daisy Buchanan,
she lit up the screen with her brilliant drop waist dresses, headbands, accessories with pearls and an accent piece like a bejeweled clutch, sparkling brooch, but what really grabs the attention in the movie-we mean from jewelry aspects- is the long pearl strand.

Gatsby showed up his wealth by giving her a long pearl strand which demonstrates (back to the significant era where the events of the movie taking place) that Pearls were affordable only for the wealthy class. Pearls still have the classy effect in the society except it’s easier to get now; it’s amazing how this gem kept its value over the centuries, a stereotype that never runs out of beauty.

Would this trend survive in 2014?

The answer is yes, and won’t fade away; it does before back in the 70’s and again in the 21th century. The most simple and effective way to look incredibly classy is to pull the pearls from your jewelry box and wear them on a very simple dress and ‘’Voila’’ you got yourself Daisy style this evening. Except these days we get the pearls for ourselves before Gatsby does.
